Yi Zhang · Journal of Chongqing University of Posts and Telecommunications · 2010

In order to achieve a harmonious robot-human interaction, the head gesture is used to control the robot. This paper proposed Adaboost((adaptive boosting) algorithm to detect lips real time, which was used as a human-robot interaction interface.By comparing the lips rectangular with a fixed rectangular, the head gestures are determined and the robot can be controlled to move up,down, left,or right. The experiment results show that the robot controlled by the head gesture moves quite well.
