Design of the motion control platform of the cutting plotter based on ARM&DSP

An open structure motion control platform based on ARM(Advanced RISC Machine) and DSP(Digital Signal Processor) is designed for the numerical control cutting plotter. The hardware of the platform is a double CPU(Central Processing Unit) structure. The master CPU is an ARM processor, and the slave CPU is a general DSP chip. By using the real-time RTL inux operating system, the software of the numerical control cutting plotter is developed. The motion control platform is good at multitasking, and moreover, it can implement the real-time motion control. The platform can satisfy the request of the cutting plotter control system for high speed and high accuracy.
