Database Backup Using Delphi and Its Application

A database needs to be backed up in its application. A database backup is composed of its structure backup and data backup. Batch operations, such as copy, append, delete or edit, are used to realize database backup. These batch operations are achieved by using APPEND and COPY commands together with some relative commanding clauses in specialized database development tools, while in other tools, there are components instead of corresponding commands to realize database backup. This paper discusses how to use the TBatchMove components in Delphi to realize database back up.
