Application of Ant Algorithm to Path Planning to Reconnaissance UAV

The ant algorithm is a newly developed heuristic method.This method has some characteristics of the ant actions in the finding foods,which has been proven a good effectiveness in the combinatorial optimization problems.This paper presents a method using ant algorithm to plan the effective path the UAV will fly during the execution of the mission,which give a promise for the UAV to arrive at the target with a higher survivalbility and acceptable path length.Simulation results preliminarily show that the optimal method has some good characteristic.
