AN ALGORITHM FOR JOINTING BROKEN CHARACTER STROKES

According to the references [1], [2], [3], this paper presents an algorithm to joint broken character strokes for printed and handwrited chinese character. This algorithm is suitable for character strokes extracting in word pattern necogrition. It can not only provide the concrete shape of the strokes, but also give several important parameters such as relative position, length, start-point, end-point and the cross frequency between different strokes.
