An efficient detection method for TD-SCDMA downlink header and implementation of FPGA

In TD-SCDMA system,SCDMA means synchronous CDMA.The terminal signals in uplink are completely synchronous in the demodulator at base station.To achieve synchronous CDMA,we must resolve the problem of synchronous detecting,establishing and maintaining in downlink.In synchronous CDMA system,the synchronization is detected through seeking correlation algorithm by software.Traditional correlation algorithm requires not only a long time and high power consumption,but also the high complexity.Using the special frame structure in TD-SCDMA,this paper presents a non-correlation method by constructing a kind of power ratio detector to detect the frame head in TD-SCDMA downlink.Comparing with the conventional non-correlation algorithm,this method has higher performance and lower complexity.The simulation results show that this algorithm has good performance in a wide range of signal-to-noise ratios(SNRs).The Modelsim simulation verifies its correctness.
