A multi-channel MAC protocol in WSNs for electricity information acquisition system

As single-channel MAC protocol in wireless sensor networks(WSNs) cannot meet characteristic of the large amount of data and strong concurrency in electricity information acquisition system,a multi-channel MAC protocol for cluster networks is proposed.Parallel transmissions mode is used in intra-cluster communication;adaptive channel switching mechanism based on real-time link quality estimation is used in inter-cluster communication.Simulation results based on OMNeT + + show that compared with single-channel MAC protocol,this MAC protocol can effectively improve networks throughput and anti-interference reliability.
