Analysis of Strategies Video Transmission over Internet

Based on the technologies of package exchange and TCP/IP,the Internet is a heterogeneity network only providing best-effort service.As the bandwidth vary with location and time,it is hard to avoid package losing,transmission delay and jitter which caused by the congestion.To transmit video fluently over the Internet,the Interface between the network and the coder should be designed according to the characteristic of channel,namely the joint source/channel coding(JSCC).Based on the video transmission system structure,this paper analyses the control strategies of video transmission over the Internet from the aspects of congestion control,error control and the video coding for transmission.In the end,conclude with a vision of the video transmission over the Internet.
