Application Research of G-index in the Topic Words of Co-Word Analysis

In order to effectively overcome the defects of subjectivity inherent in the selection in co-word analysis,the paper puts forward a new method of selecting topic words based on the g-index of word frequency.Taking the Library and Information Science as an example,the author makes a positive analysis of the g-index and compares the result of choosing topic words based on g-index with that based on Zipf's Law.Working as a fine map description of topic words Clustering,the result of the analysis demonstrates that this new method satisfies the 80/20 Rule well,providing an important theoretical basis for the accuracy of co-word analysis.
