Link Adaptive Method for MIMO-GMC and Its DSP Implementation

MIMO technology can greatly increase system capacity,and also make the channel environment much more complex.A robust,unified link adaptation control method for various channel environment is therefore needed.In this paper,a link adaptation method for MIMO-GMC is proposed,which can adapt to the change of channel conditions and achieve the transmission rate closing to the Shannon limit.Considering the complexity in eigen value decomposition encountered in the adaptive control algorithm,an efficient DSP implementation design is presented for the B3G-FDD demo system.Simulation performance curves show that the method could adapt to large scale-change of channel.Both the simulation and field test results show that the demo system can achieve peak rate up to 100 Mbit/s.
