Researches on mechanics of incremental data extraction in ETL

In order to realize efficient data refreshing in data warehouse, the frequently adopted mechanics of incremental data extraction in ETL(extraction, transformation, loading) subsystem of data warehouse are discussed.The principle, conditions, method and operating efficiency of the mechanics are described in detail, and advantages and disadvantages of those are analyzed from the aspects of compatibility, completeness, performance and invasiveness.Finally the main principle and standard are summarized when choosing the mechanics of incremental data extraction.
