Modeling of Ethernet Based on the Hierarchical Timed Colored Petri Net

Liu Lu-lu · Computer Engineering and Science · 2008

An adequate analytical model of Ethernet response time contains the characteristics of concurrency,dynamics,conflict,real-timeness.Traditional modeling methods have some defects, such as complicatedness, rigidity, inflexibility and time-freeness.The hierarchical timed colored Petri net(HTCPN)models allow the representation of interaction within the real-time client-server systems by adding some new modeling elements, such as request node, service node, coordination node, and multiple instances node. The hierarchical net usage allows a convenient representation of the arbitrarily given structure of LAN.Two models are established based on HTCPN.It comes to a conclusion that HTCPN is suitable for simulating and imitating this question by analyzing the response time.
