Intrusion Detection System Based on the Technique of Watermark Trace

This paper discusses how to handle response to Network Intrusion initiatively and brings forward a novel intrusion detection system that is Watermark Trace Intrusion Detection System (WTIDS).When WTIDS detects the invasion action; it will watermark the invasion objective connection and collect the router information on their connection path. Through the integration of Watermark track-ing technology and intrusion detection technology,this system can be an effective deterrent to network intruders.
