Local Region based Active Contour Model for Intensity Inhomogeneous Image Segmentation

In this paper,a local active contour model for intensity inhomogeneous image segmentation is proposed.A function is introduced to help extract accurately local regions in the proposed method.Furthermore,the proposed method could deal with objects even with discrete/blur boundaries by taking the advantages of Geodesic Active Contours(GAC) and Chan-Vese(C-V) model.The experimental results demonstrate the proposed model is effective in image segmentation.
