Application Research of XML and STEP Standard for Information Integration in Process Industry

In the process industry, the structure of data is complex and the links between different data are multiple. So it is very difficult to standardize these data. In the past, many methods have been used to solve this problem, such as using the STEP that is used in the manufacture industry. But since the STEP is fit for structure data, this method has much difficulty in expressing the non-structure data. This paper uses the XML to express the non-structure data and the half-structure data of the process industry. Using the XML integrating the STEP can solve the problems happening in the integration of process industry data. The other process of information processing can use the information based on XML and STEP. In the end, this paper gives an example of using XML and STEP to express a synthesis process in the information integration of process industry.
