This research uses the method of Multidimensional Scaling to study the psychological process of human faces recognition.Forty-six subjects were asked to identify the similarity of pairs of faces and make personal evaluation of each face. The results indicates that:(1)Gender differences are found in organization of face related information.Female subjects'judgments are more related with sex, race and abnormality of the stimulus faces, while male subjects'with the age, race and abnormality of stimulus faces.(2)The social means of faces don't influence the identification of faces'similarity. But there are some significant differences between male and female subjects in their personal evaluations of social psychological dimensions of the same stimulus faces.
