Effects of Rainfall at Initial Heading Stage on Occurrence of Neck Blast of Different Rice Cultivars
TU Ming-liang · Guangdong nongye kexue · 2011
The field experiments with three batches of sowing were conducted to observe the influence of rainfall at the initial heading stage on the occurrence of neck blast of different rice cultivars in natural conditions. The results revealed that the effect of rainfall at the initial heading stage on the occurrence of neck blast was related to the blast resistance of rice cultivar. On the basis of neck blast morbidity of different cultivars under the condition of rainfall at the initial heading stage, the 14 tested cultivars were divided into 4 groups: the rice varieties in the first group, second group, third group and fourth group were moderately resistant, moderately susceptible, susceptible, and highly susceptible to neck blast, respectively.
