Facial Expression Recognition Algorithm Based on Active Shape Model and Gabor Wavelet

A new algorithm named ASM_GW is given in this paper.It can extract efficient face feature and combine with the advantages of ASM and Gabor Wavelet.Furthermore,using the LDA algorithm,we can reduce the computation load.At last simulation experiment of the algorithm is performed by use of JAFFE facial expression database to demonstrate the effectiveness of the algorithm.
