Information modeling for IEDs in intelligent substation on-line temperature monitoring system based on IEC 61850

As one of the core technologies of IEC 61850,object-oriented data modeling provides a means to implement the interoperability between Intelligent Electronic Device(IED) from different manufactures and the system seamless integration.Based on the analysis of function requirement of the substation on-line temperature monitoring system,the authors introduced how to use the model provided by the newest IEC 61850 edition 2.0 to build up object models for IEDs in this system from the aspects of functional definition and decomposition,logic node modeling,and object model of devices.
