Speech Coding with Vector Quanization

Firstly the development of the techniques of speech coding and the applications of the mainly techniques are presented.Secondly it introduces the techniques of vector quantization,including distortion testing method.The most important part is the VQ algorithm design.The initial code book is random speech signals,then it is optimized through iterated algorithm,different lengths of codebook and codeword are set for getting effects to the compression.
