Research and Improvement of Energy Geographic Routing Algorithm for Wireless Sensor Networks

The characteristic of the geographical routing protocol GEAR in wireless sensor network is analyzed.In this paper,an improved method in energy consumption of GEAR protocol is proposed,by changing the states of nodes and aggregating the collection data,to avoid un-necessary energy loss.The simulation result indicates that the improved GEAR algorithm consumes energy about ten percent less than before.
