Objective: To explore the effects of 24-form Tai Chi with respiratory rehabilitation training on pulmonary function and quality of life of patients with chronic obstruction pulmonary disease(COPD).Methods: Ninety patients with COPD at stable stage were randomly divided into 3 groups, with 30 cases in each group. The patients in group A only received medication, those in group B received medication and modern respiratory rehabilitation training, and those in group C received medication, modern respiratory rehabilitation training and 24-form Tai Chi.The pulmonary function and 6-minute walk test(6MWT) were examined, and the quality of life was evaluated by St George's Respiratory Questionnaire(SGRQ).Results: There were no significant improvements on pulmonary function in groups A,B and C(P0.05),and there were no significant improvements on SGRQ score and 6MWT in group A(P0.05) between before and after treatment;six months and twelve months after treatment, the 6-minute walk distance obviously extended in groups B and C(P0.05),and twelve months after treatment, the 6-minute walk distance in group C was longer than that in group B(P0.05);six months and twelve months after treatment, the scores of SGRQ in groups B and C remarkably decreased, and the scores in group C were lower than those in group B(P0.05).Conclusion: 24-form Tai Chi with modern respiratory rehabilitation training can improve the active ability and social mental state, and enhance the quality of life of patients with COPD.
