Research on Human Capital of Economic Effects in 11 Cities in Jiangxi Province Based on Lucas Model

Based on the panel data for 11 cities in Jiangxi Province over year 1996-2011, this paper builds a Lucas model with cointegration. The result shows that there exists a significant relationship between economic growth and human capital in which the human capital makes a contribution of 20%~40% to the economic growth. In addition, the abundance of human capital is concerned with rapid economic development. Thus, human capital investment should be increased to promote the economic growth of Jiangxi Province.
