Construction of Orthogonal Mutiscaling Functions and Orthogonal Multiwavelets with Multiplicity Two

This paper exhibits the construction of orthonormal multiscaling function with multiplicity 2 based on orthogonal uniwavelet, here one of the associated orthogonal multiscaling function is the uniscaling function, while the other is a new function that we construct. In addition, explicit formula of the corresponding orthogonal multiwavelets is obtained. The constructed multiwavelets provide better frequency localization than the associated uniwavelets.
