Construction of "I" font character database based on radicals fusion

In order to expand Chinese character font, inherit Chinese cultural, reduce artificial handwritten workload and the storage of Chinese character bitmap database, a construction method of I font character database based on radicals’ fusion was proposed. I font character was generated from extracting handwritten draft’s radicals matching of 352 radicals ,Gabor wavelet was presented in extracting radicals’ features, and using affine transformation and image warping to fusion. Experiments show that the proposed method works and has advantage in reducing artificial handwritten workload and decreasing the storage of Chinese character bitmap database.
