Analysis on Abstract Translation of Sports Journals

Based on ISO214-1976(E),the international standard of presenting English abstracts of publications and documentation,in view of the existing problems in abstract translation in domestic sports journals,this paper introduces some rules and conventions on content and style of English abstracts.Taking two abstracts from two different types of literature as examples,the paper analyzes how to make a good and coherent version of translation and comes up with some suggestions on the uses of tense,voice and person,and sentence structure for abstract writing and translation.
