Knowledge based interwell oil layers' connectivity automatic correlation system

In practice of oil field developing, it needs to research the classification of connectivity or oil layers in order to describe the growth condition of oil layer and the connectivity of each other. It instructs the affusion, shooting hole and extracting oil. This paper describes an interwell oil layers' connectivity automatic correlation system based on expert knowledge. The system is composed of oil layer's sediment type recognition, interwell oil layers' connectivity correlation which is classified with four types, drawing and plotting of section plane graph, and also perfect man machine interface based on Motif. Additionally wavelet transform is used to handle the problem of large oil layer splitting. The experiment results show that the system has steady correlation precision and well practicality.
