An Elementary Analysis of a Identification Friend or Foe System

Friend or foe identification (FFI) is important one of identifying technologies for auto-target in modern battlefield under high technology. The system possessed FFI capability has been become one of basic function cells of digitized system on battlefield in 21 century. At present, target identifying includes feature identification and imaging identification of target, passive detecting identification, lidar identification, millimeter wave identification, data fusion identification of sensors etc. In order that new type FFI system is researched, the problem needed to consider adequately is how to find a new identifying method. Now, radar auto-identifying target is emphases of research, the data fusion technique for multi-sensor system is an effective approach. The new type FFI system in developing consists of the subsystem that user directly identifies targets captured by radar and the subsystem that delivers interrelated information of targets automatically identified by radar for users.
