File System Implementation Method to Improve the Network Storage Performance
Shengsheng Yu · Journal of Chinese Computer Systems · 2006
In a clustered storage system constructed by multiple storage nodes, the goal of improving the network storage performance combined with applications is implemented by file system solution. Based on the related research, this paper discusses the file system solution to improving network storage performance again. This solution makes use of the advantages of both the network distribution and network striped file systems to employ the hybrid use of non-striped and striped file data distribution. We discuss the different two-level storage allocation strategy and the choice of the relevant parameters associated with that solution and make theoretical analysis based on HP97560 performance parameters. The contrast about distribution of the size of applications′ files and the results of simulation tests shows that two-level storage allocation strategy and the choice of the relevant parameters are reasonable.
