General model of regridding algorithm for earth system modeling

The deficiency of current regridding algorithms of earth system model including low accuracy and poor generality leads to difficulty in meeting its development needs of the future. A general regridding algorithm model is proposed based on a classification method. Using associated algorithm idea, the model can not only express current algorithms, but also be used to generate accurate regridding algorithms flexibly. Utilizing this model and advantage of radial basis function,two new regridding algorithms are presented, and optimized by Voronoi-baesed search algorithm. Experimental results show the good performance of the proposed algorithms.
