Prospect of Cotton Breeding in Hubei Province in the 12th Five-year Plan Period

The dynamic development of cotton genetic and breeding was summarized briefly, and the importance of cotton breeding to promote steady development of cotton production was offered. On the basis of the comparison between cotton varieties bred in the 11th Five-year Plan period and the 10th Five-year Plan period, the main problems of cotton breeding in Hubei province were pointed out, and the cotton breeding in the 12th Five-year Plan period was prospected.
