Study on Properties of Polypropylene Modified by Whiskers

Heat deformation temperature(HDT),fluidity and mechanical properties of polypropylene(PP) modified by M-HOS and K_2Ti_6O_(13) whiskers were studied.Experimental results showed that the whiskers could increase the HDT of PP evidently,and they also improved the mechanical properties of PP.When the content of M-HOS whiskers was 30%,the HDT of PP was 151.8℃,and as the content of K_2Ti_6O_(13) whiskers was 30%,the HDT of PP was 146.5℃.
