Diagnosis of pressure drop problem in fixed-bed hydrogenation reactor and countermeasures

To solve the excessive pressure drop problem of the reactor,which is common in fixed-bed hydrogenation units,the main factors affecting the reactor bed pressure drop are analyzed and measures to prevent the pressure drop from rapidly rising are proposed,including application of guard catalyst,size-wise distribution technology and phantom structure kaolin clay,and installation of filtration trays and continuous backflush filters.Effective trouble diagnosis procedures for excessive reactor pressure drop have been established based upon trouble examination and shooting methods.
