Force-excitation System of Short Circuit Generator

In this paper, the excitation characteristics of short-circuit generators was studied, and the basic principle, configuration and using effect of forced-excitation systems in domestic and foreign high-power laboratories were introduced. On the basis of running cost and efficiency, it made a comparison of three forced-excitation systems. It is proposed that static excitation is inevitable in high-power laboratories with the development of electrical electronic technology.
