A Review of the Research on the Application of GIS for Logistics in China

In this article,the necessity of the application of GIS for modern logistics is introduced at first.The relevant research of the construction of the logistics information system based on GIS,GIS using in the management of the logistics delivery,the practical application of GIS in various fields——supply chain management(SCM),electronic commerce(EC),ports management,the third part logistics,the special logistics——are summarized and reviewed in this paper.
