A Modified Approach to DSR with QoS Support in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

In Ad Hoc networks, different QoS routing protocols bring much complexity.In this paper,DSR is modified in order to provide QoS support .To achieve this goal,detailed computations are developed to estimate the available bandwidth in Ad Hoc networks, and then extensive simulation is performed to verify the effectiveness with different environment. Simulations show that the modified protocol is effective and adapt ive to transmit real-time communications in Ad Hoc networks with heavy load, however, it is not effective in Ad hoc networks with light load.
