The condition monitoring and fault diagnosis expert system for 700 MW generator stator water-cooling in Three-Gorge Left Bank Power Station has the functions of fault diagnosis, condition monitoring, information management and system maintenance. The system was put into service on May 2004. The practice of this system proofed that this system can raise the level of advance warning for hot fault in generator stator water-cooling system, realize the early diagnosis of generator stator hot fault, and offer the analysis tool and supplementary decision basis for evaluating generator operation state and fault treatment.
