A Brief Analysis of Russell's Description Theory about Proper Name's Connotation

Russell doesn't agree with Frege's connotation theory of the broad proper name,He equates connotation of proper name with reference of proper name at differentiating description from proper name, while classifying two kinds of proper names, he treats connotation of proper name as a abbreviated or disguised description. Generally, the theory holds that a proper name has its connotation, and people ordinarily accept the connotation theory of general proper name, but this connotation theory still can't make a clear distinction with Frege's connotation theory of proper name, and consequently, also can't overcome the common predicament they face with.
