Construction of bivariate compactly supported orthogonal vector-valued wavelets on L2(R 2,C r) is investigated in the paper.The notion of bivariate vector-valued multiresolution analysis is introduced and the definition of bivariate orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is given.An effective algorithm for constructing bivariate compactly supported orthogonal vector-valued wavelets is obtained by using multiresolution analysis theory.Finally,an example is given.
