Improvement of the Satellite Transfer Layer Based on TCP/IP

The inherent characteristics of the satellite network have influenced the performance of TCP/IP which includes large latency, congestion, transmission errors, asymmetry and so on. This paper aims at these problems and puts forward such ways as bigger flow control window and improved congestion control algorithm to improve the existing TCP/IP protocol.
