This paper introduce a way to designing and implementing of xlight FTP server uses external authentication database through ODBC connections.Using new version xlight can configurat the FTP server more efficiency,for the system can automatically create a user directory when first time they logon.Be convenient to use independent ftp account to transfer the e-resources and to improve the campus network security.
