Blind equalization by CMA using variable step-size based on higher-order squared error is proposed in this paper. The adjustment of step-size by higher-order squared error in CMA can improve convergence rate and equalization performance. And higher-order squared error directly reflects the state of convergence, so it can be used to reasonably adjust step-size. At the same time, CMA using variable step-size can avoid the coefficients converging to the local minimum point to a certain extent. Simulation results show that CMA using variable step-size provides higher convergence rate and better performance.
