Research on Combination Rule Evaluation Method in Evidence Reasoning Theory

The evidence reasoning theory,which includes Dempster-Shafer(DS) theory and DezertSmarandache(DSm) theory,is an important method for processing the non-deterministic information,and its performance of combination rules directly influences the reasoning results.To effectively assess the properties of combination rules in evidence reasoning theory,this paper sums up the problems existing in the assessment method of combination rules based on DS theory and analyzes deeply the reasons for those problems,and then presents the evaluation method based on DSm theory’s combination rules in terms of the features of DSm theory.This proposed assessment method improves the combination rule evaluation method based on DS theory,in terms of the three issues of conflict evidence processing,time series and complex computation.
