APPLIED MECHANISM ANALYSIS OF PARALLEL PROGRAMMING ENVIRONMENT MPICH

An elementary method of parallel programming using MPICH on PC cluster is expaticated in this paper. By an example of parallel program for computing the value of π, the routines of MPICH are introduced. While designing parallel program, the crucial technology is how to manage the communication among these processes. MPICH selects eager protocol and rendezvous protocol to assort with these communications. At the same time, MPICH supplies the blocking probe functions and non blocking probe functions, which make these processes to use resources fully and make user have more flexibility when developing programs.
