Design of the Structure for Storing Dynamic Data Records

Ju Shi · Computer Engineering and Science · 2002

There are many dynamic and uncomplete data records in the area of database applications. It is necessary for DBMS to be able to store length variable and format variable data records. In some case it is needed to store the data information of the embedded complex objects in the attribute of a record. This paper first analyses traditional record storage structures and gives the design of a data structure that is appropriate for storing length variable and format variable data records.
