ArcView GIS,developed by ESRI (Environmental Systems Research Institute), is a windows-based GIS system and it provides GIS users a powerful function and a flexible software platform as well as a secondary development environment.In this article,based on the principle and the method of GIS, the authors introduce a method to construct the management information system of crop germplasm resources of Shanxi province and give the detailed explanation about platform construction and how to fulfill the system.
