Design of New Type Sheet Positioning System for Printing Press

The principle of controlling the degree of freedom was applied to study the sheet positioning system of printing press.Through studying mechanical structure of traditional sheet positioning system and analyzing reasons of common faults,a new type sheet positioning system was designed.Four infrared sensors were supplied to start and stop two stepping motors for controlling and moving the paper forwards and backwards,a photoelectric sensor system was used to start and stop servo-actuator system for controlling and moving the paper left and right,the degree of freedom was controlled by four roller wheels through motors.The result showed that compared to old system,the new system improved printing precision in sheet positioning section of printing process.And it broke through the limitation of printing speed by sheet positioning section.
