A new experiential measurement for the angle of repose of desert sand

It was pointed out that the traditional method to measure the repose angle of desert sands induces system errors,and such errors are caused by the bald top cone and also by the non-linear bottom.System errors are proved to exist by analyzing the results of designed experiment using the statistic method.Aiming at solving those errors,a new method was brought forth,which is convenient,time-saving and leading to no system error.From a theoretical view,the new method is better in reflecting the real value of the repose angle and can be applied to more special situations.
