A Shot Boundary Detection Algorithm Based on Improving The Twin-threshold Method

This paper presents a shot boundary detection algorithm based on improving the twin-threshold method. Through re-examination the detecting result of the twin-threshold method,this algorithm effectively reduces the error rate both of the abrupt shot change and the fade shot change; it also presents a dissolve shot change detection method which can detect more dissolve shot. Compared to the original algorithm,the improved algorithm enhances the recall ratio at about 11%.
