The mechanism of Chinese localization and its application to teaching
Guangquan Wang · Shijie hanyu jiaoxue · 2008
In many cases, there is no specific referential form for a particular location, but there is localization mechanism in any language that helps to generate referential forms of locations. This paper, on the basis of classification of words that may be localized, defines and categorize the localization-markers, distinguishes self-referred localization constructions from other-referred localization constructions and summarizes the rules for Chinese localization. Finally, it discusses how to apply the rules to teaching.
